Macscript.com today released an update for XPressGuides, its popular AppleScript-based software utility for managing guide placement in QuarkXPress. The utility creates a palette that allows the user to create, lock, unlock, load, save, and delete guides intuitively in QuarkXPress. The price for XPressGuides will remain unchanged at US$19 and can be purchased online. XPressGuides 1.1 is available as a 30-day free trial available for download from Macscript.com's website (http://www.macscript.com).
XPressGuides 1.1 is free for registered users of version 1.0.
Changes in version 1.1:
- Added an Auto Quit feature which quits XPressGuides when QuarkXPress is quit.
- Added a "Launching QuarkXPress
" window.
- Added a "Cancel" hot key to the Position field.
- Fixed a bug affecting positions of some vertical spread guides.
- Fixed a problem which caused XPressGuides to be "stuck" on a master page.
- Fixed a problem preventing XPressGuides (and thus the system) from shutting down properly.
- Fixed problem of pasting measurements into the Position field.
